I have an FSM, it doesn't show a gasket because what I'm talking about is permanently attached to the lower belt cover. At least it used to be. It appears to be a bead of rubber like material that remains flexible after hardening so that when you tighten down cover, it conforms to the front of the engine block. This bead is about 1/8"+ in diameter so gasket maker won't hack it. FSM also doesn't show felt "gaskets" that go between upper timing belt covers and the back plates they bolt onto.
